Maritime On-Line® (MOL)

Maritime On-Line® (MOL)

Overview

Given that 95% of U.S. imports move through the nation's seaports, coupled with the projected increase in international trade activity, Nicom Maritime developed an electronic information centre for ship and cargo processing.

Maritime On-Line provides comprehensive computer and web-based automation services to fulfill a variety of commercial maritime needs. The system is scalable and can be customized to meet port needs and address regulations.

Maritime On-Line

Maritime On-Line was developed under the specific direction of members of the maritime business community and those federal and state government agencies which regulate them. The components of the Maritime On-Line system include:

Ship Reporting

Records anticipated and historical vessel movement information, including estimated and actual arrival date/time for each movement a vessel makes in a port.

TRACS®

Tracks cargo manifest information, which is transmitted to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which in turn returns cargo hold/release information back to the system.

NOA/D On-Line

Provides a gateway for users to submit advance electronic notices of arrival and departure to the U.S. Coast Guard and CBP to meet federal reporting requirements.

Please read "Better Data Sharing Protects All Parties" as published in Marine Electronics & Comunications, to see how this system is helping the Maritime Exchange for the Delaware River and Bay. Also don't forget to contact Nicom Maritime directly to discuss this option.
