AAPA Information Technology Award for Improvements in Intermodal Freight Transportation, 2007

The Container Dwell Time Management System Nicom Maritime developed for the Halifax Port Authority (HPA) assisted them in managing their dwell and transit time. The Halifax Port Authority was able to improve its quality of service to its customers by measuring and monitoring these metrics for thousands of containers with built-in automation. The solution enabled the HPA to maintain its competitive edge by identifying unproductive time periods and inefficiencies in its use of resources. The HPA then was able to address them directly to improve its delivery of cargo to its customers.

Atlantic Pilotage Awards Recognition, 2005

Individuals from Nicom Maritime’s team were acknowledged by the Atlantic Pilotage Authority (APA) at their annual awards dinner for the delivery of their professional services. The company, as a whole, was also presented with an ‘Award in Recognition and Appreciation of Professional Services’ for its technical support and consulting services, and the design and implementation the APA’s new billing and dispatch system. Choosing Nicom Maritime alleviated any reason for the APA to select another firm to fulfill additional IT needs.
