Seaport Logistics Software: Maritime On-Line® (MOL)
Given that 95% of U.S. imports move through the nation’s seaports, coupled with the projected increase in international trade activity, Nicom Maritime developed an electronic information centre for ship and cargo processing.
Maritime On-Line is industry-leading seaport logistics software and provides comprehensive computer and web-based automation services to fulfill a variety of commercial maritime needs. The system is scalable and can be customized to meet port needs and address regulations.
Maritime On-Line
Maritime On-Line was developed in conjunction with the Maritime Exchange for the Delaware River and Bay, under the specific direction of members of the maritime business community and those federal and state government agencies which regulate them. The components of the Maritime On-Line system include:
- Notice of Arrival & Departure
Provides a gateway for users to submit advance electronic notices of arrival and departure to the U.S. Coast Guard and Customs and Border Protection to meet federal reporting requirements. - Automated Manifest System
Tracks cargo manifest information, which is transmitted to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which in turn returns cargo hold/release information back to the system. - Ship Reporting
Records anticipated and historical vessel movement information, including estimated and actual arrival date/time for each movement a vessel makes in a port.
Read “Better Data Sharing Protects All Parties” as published in Marine Electronics & Communications, to see how this system is helping the Maritime Exchange for the Delaware River and Bay. Contact Nicom Maritime directly to discuss this option.
